RESOLUTION NO. 2031 . <br />WHEREAS, Section 7-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, created the Committee of Architectural <br />Preservat.ion of the Central Business District of the City of Paris, <br />to consist of seven (7) members as follows: A member of the <br />Downtown Development Association; a member of the Visitors and <br />Convention Council of the Paris and Lamar County Chamber of <br />Commerce; a practicing architect who is a member of the A. I. A. <br />(American Institute of Architects); a member with nursery or <br />landscape interest; a member of the Lamar County Historical <br />Commission; and two (2) members who are citizens of Lamar <br />County; the initial board to consist of four (4) members appointed <br />for two year terms and three (3) members appointed for a one <br />year term, and thereafter all appointments to be for two year <br />terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, the terms of Jim Steely as a member of the <br />Lamar County Historical Commission, and Tallie Lipscomb and <br />Dav.id Denney, as citizens of Lamar County, will expire on <br />June 30, 1980, and the Mayor of the C.ity of Paris, M.ichael E. <br />Malone, having appointed Cathie Spearman, as a member of the <br />Lamar County Historical Commission, and Tallie Lipscomb and <br />David Denney, as citizens of Lamar County, to serve on the <br />Committee of Architectural Preservation of the Central Business <br />D.istrict of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning <br />July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, 1982, and has submitted the <br />names of such persons to the City Council of the City of Paris; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the appointments of Cathie Spearman, as a member of <br />the Lamar County Historical Commission, and Tallie Lipscomb and <br />David Denney, as citizens of Lamar County, on the Committee <br />of Arch.itectural Preservation of the Central Business Distr.ict of <br />the C.ity of Paris, for a term of two (2) years, beginning July l, <br />1980 and ending June 30, 1982, be, and the same are hereby <br />approved and conf.irmed by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of June, 1980. <br />. <br />Michael E.
