RESOLUTION N0. 1912 , <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is vitally <br />interested in the youth of Paris and Lamar County; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Juvenile Judge, acting on behalf of the Juvenile <br />Board, has requested the City Council of the City of Paris to appro- <br />priate up to $5, 000. 00 to be used as matching funds for the procure- <br />ment of a grant through the Texas Department of Human Resources <br />to provide for a Youth Services Program heretofore known as Youth <br />Diversion Program; and, <br />WHEREAS, said program is described in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, the funds appropriated by the City of Paris and <br />those received as grant from the Texas Department of Human <br />Resources are to be expended in accordance with the Budget for <br />Purchase of Services attached hereto as Exhibit B; NOW, THERE- <br />FORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the Director of Finance, H, C. Greene, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to pay to Lamar County an amount not <br />to exceed $5, 000. 00, conditioned upon said expenditure being for the <br />program descr.ibed in Exhibit A attached hereto, with expenditures <br />being made only in accordance with Exhibit B attached hereto; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Robert W. Sokoll, City <br />Manager of the City of Paris, is hereby authorized and directed to <br />monitor the above described program and expenditures and to make <br />periodic reports to the City Council of the City of Paris with regards <br />to the effectiveness of said program and the appropriatness of the <br />expenditure of such public funds. <br />Passed and adopted this llth day of December, 1978. <br />~ <br />, <br />Michael E.
