RESOLUTION N0. 1916 ,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of P~ris, did at its
<br />regular meeting on December 11, 1978, approve the advertisement
<br />for bids for furnishing all labor, material and equi,pment, and per-
<br />forming all work required for the installation of two high service
<br />pumps with 600 HP motors, valves, piping and related improve-
<br />ments at the City of Paris' Water Treatment Plant, which bids
<br />were received until 10:00 A. M. , Wednesday, January 17,1979;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for said project, in the amount of
<br />$174,165. 00, was made by Mechanical Services, Inc. , of Atoka,
<br />Oklahoma, and it should be awarded the contract for said project;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the contract for such project is
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; NO~V, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF PARIS, That the bid of Mechanical Services, Inc. , for furnish-
<br />ing all labor, material and equipment, and performing all work re-
<br />quired for the installation of two high service pumps with 600 HP
<br />motors, valves, piping and related improvements at the City of
<br />Paris' Water Treatment Plant, in the amount of $174,165.00, is
<br />hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting
<br />all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents;
<br />and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOI,VED, That the City Manager of the
<br />City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized
<br />and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the said
<br />contract, in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with
<br />Mechanical Services, Inc.
<br />Passed and adopted this 22nd day of January, 1979.
