Al1 job oppor-- <br />tunities will be publicized, with special eftorts to be made to encourage <br />applications by minorities and females for those jobs in which they are under- <br />utilized. The primary area for recruitment will be Larnar County. <br />The recruitment of qualified applicants for job vacancies shall include the <br />following: <br />- 1. Walk-in applications . <br />2. Texas Employment Coramission xeferrals <br />3. Advertising in lOCal newspapers: <br />a. Paris News <br />b. Lamar County Echo <br />4. Advertising on local radio stations: . <br />a. KPLT AM <br />b. KPRE AIM <br />c. KACW FM <br />5. Advertising in professional and trade journals when applicable <br />6. Contacts writh area high schools , . <br />7. Contacts with area colleges and universities: <br />a. Paris Junior College <br />b. East Texas State University <br />8. Contacts with minority organizations and minority leaders: <br />a. McKinley Johnson, President of the Paris NAACP Chapter <br />b. Councilman George Fisher, Paris Citp Council <br />c. Councilman WalCer Williams, Paris City Council <br />The City of Paris also intends to utilize CETA for the purpose of_ training <br />minorities and fema.les for full-time employinent with the City as vacancies <br />occur. . <br />
