RESOLUTION N0. 1941 . <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is of the opinion <br />that the parks of the City of Paris are in need of refurbishing, repair <br />and improvements; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Community Affairs, Youth <br />Services Division, is administering for the State of Texas, the Young <br />Adult Conservation Corps, which provides for the employment of youth <br />from age 16 through 23, who have been unemployed for th.irty (30) days <br />and who have not completed the last grade in which they were enrolled; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Paris that it <br />make application for and participate in the Young Adult Conservation <br />Corps; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />l. That the City of Paris process an application for funds <br />from the Texas Department of Community Affairs, <br />Youth Services Division, for a grant in the amount of <br />$30, 255. 00 for park r. efurbishing, repair and improve - <br />ments' program for the City of Paris. <br />2, That Warren G. Leddick, Director of Parks and <br />Recreation, be, and he is hereby appointed Project <br />Director. <br />3. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance of the City of <br />Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed Financial Officer <br />of said project. <br />4. That Robert W. Sokoll, City Manager, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver <br />on behalf of the City of Paris the necessary applications, <br />communications, instruments and documents necessary <br />for the completion of said project. <br />Passed and adopted this llth day of June, 1979. <br />, ~ <br />. <br />Michael E.
