RESOLUTION N0. 1944 , <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1935 accept second year funding under Community <br />Development Block Grant Project No. B-79-DN-48-0076; and, <br />WHEREAS, in order to comply with the rules and regulations <br />and Act governing Block Grants, it is necessary that the City of <br />Paris establish a Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, which Board <br />shall be composed of five (5) members, all of whom are citizens <br />of Paris and who shall be appointed for two year terms, and the <br />five (5) members shall include one citizen from each target area <br />as designated in the grant being administered; and said Board <br />shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City oE Paris, Michael E. Malone, <br />does hereby appoint the following members: <br />Foster Stone Target Area No. 1 Member as shown <br />on Exhibit A attached hereto <br />Addie Bufford "I'arget Area No. 2 Member as shown <br />on Exhibit A attached hereto <br />Homer Briggs Member at Large <br />Terry L. Christian Member at Large <br />W. J. Stringfellow Member at Large <br />for a term of two years, beginning July l, 1979 and ending June 30, <br />1981; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PA R IS, A S FOLLOWS: <br />l. That the Housing Rehabilitat.ion Review Board, be, and the <br />same is hereby established, to be composed o~ five (5) members, all <br />of whom must be citizens of Paris and whose term shall be for two <br />(2) years, and said Board must have included among its membership <br />at least one member from each target area wherein such Board is <br />exercising its authority. <br />2. That the appointments of Foster Stone, as Target Area No. 1 <br />Member; Addie Bufford, as Target Area No. 2 Member; and Homer <br />Briggs, Terry L. Christian an~. W. J. Stringfellow, as Members at <br />Large, of the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, for a term of two <br />(2) years, beginning July l, 1979 and ending June 30, 1981, are by the <br />City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 27th day of June, 1979. <br /> <br />r <br />ichae .
