RESOLUTION N0. 1825 0 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its <br />regular meeting on the 8th day of August, 1977, approve the adver- <br />tisement for bids for furnishing the construction of a 20 foot by 60 <br />foot Police Firearms Training Building, in accordance with detailed <br />plans and specifications, dated August, 1~77, which bids were re- <br />ceived until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, September 7, 1977; <br />a nd, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by <br />Murphy Building Company, and it should be awarded the contract <br />for such construction work; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such construction <br />work is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NO~, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the bid of Murphy Building Company for furnishing the <br />construction of a 20 foot by 60 foot Police Firearms Training <br />Building, within 30 calendar days, in the amount of $3, 495. 00, is <br />hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all <br />of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, <br />BE IT rURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the <br />City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for <br />the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the <br />form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Murphy Building <br />Company. <br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of September, 1977. <br />~ , <br />es .
