RESOLUTION N0. 1863 , <br />WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company did on December 21, <br />1977 file a rate request with the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, such request requires extensive study; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did here~ofore <br />in Resolution No. 1843, as permitted by the Public Utility Regulatory <br />Act of the State of Texas and the Public Utili~y Commission's Rules <br />of Practice and Procedure, suspend the operation of the schedule <br />for a period not to exceed 120 days beyond the date on which the <br />schedule of rates would otherwise go in~o effect; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of <br />Paris that said date in which such rates are to go into effect be sus- <br />pended for an additional 30 days as permitted by said law and rules; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the City Council of the City of Paris, in exercise of its <br />rate making authori~y under the Public Utility Regulatory Act and <br />Rules of Practice and Procedure, does hereby suspend the operation <br />of the schedule of rates filed by Texas Power & Light Company on <br />the 21st day of December, 1977, for a period of 30 days in addition <br />to the 120 day period said schedule was heretofore suspended in <br />City of Paris Resolution No. 1843. <br />Passed and adopted this 22nd day of May, 1978. <br />. <br />ichael E.
