RESOLUTION NO. 1766 , <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at a <br />regular Council Meeting, on the 12th day of July, 1976, approve the <br />advertisement for bids for First Phase, Restoration of City of Paris <br />Sanitary Landfill Site, consisting of relocation of existing refuse, <br />trench excavation and construction of roadway and levees, in <br />accordance with detailed plans and specifications, dated July 1976, <br />which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, <br />August 4, 1976; and, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for said project was made by <br />Griffin & Dickson, a partnership, Kilgore, Texas, and it should be <br />awarded the contract for such project; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to construct said project is <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the bid of Griffin & Dickson, to construct to completion, <br />within 90 calendar days, First Phase, Restoration of City of Paris <br />Sanitary Landfill Site, in the amount of $107, 770. 00, is hereby <br />accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of <br />the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the <br />City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for <br />the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the <br />form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of August, 1976. <br />. ~ <br />Ja e M.
