RESOLUTION NO. 1749 , <br />WHEREAS, a portion of existing highway right-of-way on the <br />south side of U. S. 82 (Lamar Avenue) just west of Loop Highway <br />286 in the City of Paris, more particularly described on Exhibit A <br />attached hereto, may be considered by the State Highway and Public <br />Transportation Commission to be no longer needed for highway pur- <br />poses; and, <br />WHEREAS, the State of Texas through the State Department <br />of Highways and Public Transportation proposes to convey said <br />right -of -way to the abutting property owner; and, <br />WHEREAS, said right-of-way is needed for utility and <br />drainage purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in con- <br />currence with the State of Texas that said right-of-way is no longer <br />needed for street purposes by the citizens of Paris; NOW, THERE- <br />FORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the right-of-way proposed to be conveyed to the abutting <br />property owner by the State of Texas is no longer needed for the <br />use of citizens of Paris for street purposes, and upon the execution <br />of the utility and drainage easement in the form of Exhibit B attached <br />hereto by John C. Culpepper, Jr. , the City of Paris concurs with the <br />State's proposal to convey the 0. 354 acre tract described on Exhibit A <br />attached hereto to the abutting property owner, John C.
