DETOUR AGREEMENT <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF L.AMAR <br />This AGREEMENT made this 3rd day of December, 1975, by and between the <br />State Department of Highways and Public Transportation of the State of Texas, <br />hereinafter referred to as the State, party of the first part, and the City <br />of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a public municipal corporation having a <br />population in excess of 15,000 at the last Federal Census, acting by and <br />through its duly authorized officers, hereinafter called the City, party of <br />the second part. <br />W I T N E S S E T H <br />Whereas, on Loop Highway 469, same being Bonham Street at the St. Louis- <br />San Francisco Railway Company, ET AL Crossing, same being between west llth <br />and 12th Streets in said City, said Company is to reconstruct planking and <br />remove abandoned track at MP 583.067, Hwy. Station 9+23.7, as provided in an <br />agreement dated April 15, 1975, between the Rai1road Company and State. <br />Whereas, said Railroad has requested that traffic be removed from the <br />construction site during working hours. <br />A G R E E M E N T <br />NOW, therefore, in consideration of the premises and the mutual coven- <br />ants and agreements of the parties hereto to be by them respectively kept <br />and performed, it is agreed as follows: <br />1. <br />The City will route west bound traffic to the right on 9th Street N.W. to <br />Graham; west on Graham Street to 13th Street N.W.; south on 13th Street N.W. <br />to Bonham Street; thence west on Bonham Street. <br />2. <br />The City will route east bound traffic to the left on 12th Street N.W.to <br />Graham; east on Graham Street to llth Street N.W.; south on llth Street N.W. <br />to Bonham Street; thence east on Bonham Street. <br />3. <br />The State is to clearly sign this route as a"detour", providing suffi- <br />cient traffic control signs to properly regulate traffic on the detour, in- <br />cluding one-way arrows and stop signs, and maintain such signing until the <br />railway crossing reconstruction project provided in agreement dated April 15, <br />1975, has been completed. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
