RESOLUTION NO. 1714 . <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Community Affairs has <br />funding under the "701" Planning and Management Program, as <br />amended by Title IV of the Housing and Commun.ity Development <br />Act of 1974, and grants under such program are available on a <br />two-thirds State and one-third local funds basis; and, <br />WHEREA.S, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous <br />of processing a grant application for topographic mapping of the <br />City of Paris, at a total project cost of $9, 000. 00, $6, 000. 00 to <br />be provided by grant and $3, 000. 00 to be provided by local funds <br />and in kind services; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS: <br />l. 'Ihat an application be made to the Texas Department of <br />Community Affairs for a grant in the amount of $6, 000. 00, being <br />two-thirds of the est.imated costs of the Topographic Mapping <br />Project, with the City of Paris providing $3, 000. 00 in in kind ser- <br />vices and funds. <br />2. 'Ihat Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed, on be - <br />half of the City of Paris, to execute and file such application for <br />grant and assurances of compliance with all of the requirements <br />for said grant, to execute such contract or contracts as may be <br />necessary for the grant applied for, to provide such information <br />and furnish such documents as may be required by said Department, <br />and to act as the authorized correspondent and representative for <br />the accomplishment of the project. <br />3. That Joe N. McCollum, Director of Community <br />Development of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby designated <br />Project Director. <br />Passed and adopted this 13th day of October, 1975. <br />. <br />Ja s M.
