A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT WITH RICHARD DRAKE CONSTRUCTION FOR PREPARATION OF SITE WORK AROUND THE NEW NESTED T- HANGAR AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of May, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-068, award the contract for"Cox Field Airport Preparation of Site Work Around New Nested T-Hangar" Project to Richard Drake Construction; and, WHEREAS, the Acting City Engineer, Frank Davis, acting as project engineer, recommends the amendment of the contract for said project to increase the quantity of earthwork and provide for the adjustment of the water line in conflict with the proposed storm sewer, providing for a net increase of $19,407.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $115,152.00; and, WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. 1, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. 1 to the Contract with Richard Drake Construction for the "Cox Field Airport Preparation of Site Work Around New Nested T- Hangar" Project, attached hereto as Exhibit A, to increase the quantity of earthwork and provide for the adjustment of the water line in conflict with the proposed storm sewer, and providing for a net increase of $19,407.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $115,152.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. 1, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
