AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF PARIS <br />AND <br />MINNESOTA MINING AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY <br />THIS AGREEMENT <br />niade this 22nd day or February in the year Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-four, <br />BY AND BETWEEN <br />The CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal body politic <br />and corporate in perpetuity hereinafter called Owner, <br />and <br />MINNESOTA MINING AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Traffic <br />Control Products Division, hereinafter called the Contractor, <br />WITNESSETH, <br />that the Owner and Contractor for the consideration hereinafter named <br />agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE l. SCOPE OF THE WORK <br />The Contractor shall furnish all of the materials and equipment contained <br />in the bidding documents authorized for advertisement for bids by the City <br />Council of Paris, Texas, on the 14th day of January, 1974, prepared by <br />Phil Ransom, Traffic Safety Coordinator, acting in behalf of the Owner <br />and shall do everything required by this Agreement, the General Conditions <br />of the Contract and the Specifications. <br />ARTICLE 2. TIME OF COMPLETION <br />The work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced and completed <br />to allow the Owner to place into operation the equipment provided for herein, <br />on or before June 30, 1974. All work required in the base bid shall be <br />completed by Contractor by coordinating his work with the Director of Public <br />Works, John Cooke. The contract price shall be subject to reduction for <br />any loss in grant awarded by the Texas Traffic Safety Administration and <br />the U.S. Department of Transportation under which this project is partially <br />funded due to delay or delays beyond the above date which are due in part <br />or totally to the action or lack of action by the Contractor. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
