RESOLUTION NO. 1625 <br />WHEREAS, the American Revolution Bicentennial Celebration will <br />occur in 1976; and, <br />WHE REAS, the State of Texas has created an American Revolution <br />Bicentennial Commission to receive goals and programs to reflect the <br />State and National Celebration; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris and Lamar County desire to develop <br />plans for the participation of citizens of this community in the overall <br />activities; and, <br />WHER EAS, it is necessary to study, review and develop potential <br />goals and projects for consideration for adoption by the City of Paris <br />and Lamar County; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to create a study committee to develop <br />recommended goals and projects; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate for said committee to have <br />a broad base, and the persons listed on Exhibit A, attached hereto, <br />have made themselves available to serve on said committee; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tf-E CITY OF <br />PARIS, Thet the persons named on Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and <br />they are hereby appointed to serve as the City of Paris and Lamar <br />County's Bicentennial Committee, which committee shall make such <br />recommendations to the City Council of the City of Paris within the <br />guide lines set forth above as it deems appropriate. <br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of August, 1974. <br />Nk..-M- S&S~ <br />J Mayor ' <br />a s M.
