RESOLUTION NO. 1596 . <br />WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City <br />Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, that an unnamed street, <br />beginning at the East Boundary Line of Record Park, lying North of <br />Lot 3 and South of Lot 11, City Block 251A, the South Boundary Line <br />of the same being 303 feet North of the North Boundary Line of <br />Henderson Street, running East 505 feet, as appears on Pages 17 <br />and 18 of the Tax Maps of the City of Paris, has never been used <br />as a street and no necessity or beneficial use exists therefor, and <br />that there is a common property owner on each side of the portion <br />of such street who does not wish to use such property as a public <br />street; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, F. D. Mallory, III, be, <br />and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to the <br />State of Texas, the present owner of the property on either side of <br />the unnamed street heretofore closed, situated within the County of <br />Lamar and State of Texas, and more particularly described as <br />follows, to-wit: <br />BEGINNING at a point in the west boundary line of <br />Northwest Third Street, said point being North 2° 39' West <br />a distance of 301. 0 feet from the intersection of the west <br />boundary line of Northwest Third Street and the north <br />boundary line of West Henderson Street, said point also <br />being the Northeast corner of a 3. 518 acre tract of land, <br />conveyed to the Texas Highway Department by deed of <br />record in Volume 550, Page 764, of the Deed Records of <br />Lamar County, Texas; <br />THENCE South 86 ° 40' West along the north boundary <br />line of the said 3. 518 acre tract a distance of 505. 6 feet <br />to the Northwest corner of the said tract, in the east <br />boundary line of Record Park; <br />THEN CE North 2° 53' West along the east boundary <br />line of Record Park a distance of 40. 0 feet to the Southwest <br />corner of a 6. 33 acre tract of land conveyed to the Texas <br />Highway Department by deed of record in Volume 323, Page <br />435, of said Deed Records; <br />THENCE North 86 ° 40' East along the south boundary <br />line of the said 6.33 acre tract and a 4.46 acre tract of <br />land conveyed to the Texas Highway Department by Deed of <br />Record in Volume 313, Page 59, of said Deed Records, a <br />distance of 505. 6 feet to the intersection of the south <br />boundary line of the said 4. 46 acre tract and the west <br />boundary line of Northwest Third Street; <br />THENCE South 2° 39' East along the west boundary <br />line of Northwest Third Street a distance of 40. 0 feet to <br />the place of beginning, containing 0.464 acre of land. <br />
