RESOLUTION NO, 1554 .
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is well aware
<br />of the type of service being rendered users of Cox Field, Paris, Texas,
<br />and does determine that said service should be improved; and,
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of
<br />Paris that said service be improved by the City of Paris operating said
<br />Airport; and,
<br />WHEREAS, O. A. Broussard, III, Fixed Base Operator, Cox
<br />Field, Paris, Texas, offers to sell his contract rights for $5, 000. 00,
<br />his furniture and equipment as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto for
<br />$1, 600. 00, and his inventory at cost, which price is hereby found to be
<br />a just and fair price; and,
<br />WHEREAS, O. A. Broussard, III is agreeable to deferring
<br />said $6, 600. 00 payment until July l, 1973, upon the giving of evidence
<br />of a legal obligation for said payment; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W. Farris, be, and
<br />he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
<br />Paris a legal obligation in the amount of $6, 600. 00, payable to O. A.
<br />Broussard, III, on July 1, 1973; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Director of Finance,
<br />H. C. Greene, is hereby authorized and directed to pay O. A.
<br />Broussard, III for aviation fuel and products inventory at the cost of
<br />the same.
<br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of April, 1973.
