1549 RES CITY COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT OF EXTENSION OF 27TH ST SE

RESOLUTION NO. 1549 , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has undertaken a project of extension of 27th Street, S. E. , South from Clarksville Street to Jefferson Road; and, WHEREAS, 27th Street, S. E. as it exists must be modified and partially re -located to connect with the extension; and, WHEREAS, the right of way necessary for said re-location is de- scribed as follows: Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, State of Texas, a part of the George W. Cox Survey, and being part of a tract of land allotted to Barney Bray as recorded in Volume 3, Page 448 of the District Court Records, Lamar County, Texas, dated August 25, 1928, and being part of Lot 28, City Block No. 249; BEGINNING at the intersection of the North boundary line of Clarksville Street and the East boundary line of 27th Street S. E. , said point also being the Southwest corner of Lot 28, City Block 249; THENCE N. 25 °58' E. along the East boundary line of 27th Street S. E. , 2. 2 feet to a point, said point being the beginning of a curve to the left, said curve having a central angle of 32 °22' and a radius of 367. 03 feet; THENCE along said East boundary line of 27th Street S. E. and with said curve to the left, 207.4 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE continuing with the East boundary line of 27th Street S. E. N. 6°24' W. , 95. 4 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 28, said point also being the Southwest corner of Lot l, Block B, of Wynnwood Addition; THENCE S. 9°22' E. , a distance of 342 feet to a point in the North boundary line of Clarksville Street; THENCE N. 64 °02' W. along the North boundary line of Clarksville Street 90 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0. 175 acres of land, more or less. and is owned by Barney Bray, Jr. or Barney Bray, III; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the described right of way is necessary for said improvement project and that the same should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to condemn the above described property to be used for 27th Street, S. E. right of way, in accordance with the established policies of the City of Paris.
