1545 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1518 PASSED OCTOBER 26 1972 AUTHORIZED PROJECT APPLICATION

RESOLUTION NO. 1545 , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in Resolution No. 1518, passed October 26, 1972, authorize the submitting of a Project Application to the Federal Aviation Administration requesting Federal participation in the amount of $5, 388. 00 for improvements at Cox Field Municipal Airport, and said application was submitted and approved; and, WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a Grant Offer dated 5 March, 1973, which provides a commitment of Federal funds in the amount of $5, 388. 00 for said project; and, WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Paris that said Grant Offer be accepted; and, WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 1518 authorized H. C. Greene, Acting City Manager, to execute, deliver and furnish all necessary applications, communications, instruments and documents necessary for the completion of said project; and, WHEREAS, H. C. Greene has been succeeded by Kerry R. Sweatt as City Manager of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: l. That the City Council of the City of Paris does hereby accept the provisions of the Grant Offer for Project No. 8-48 -0169 -Ol, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A. 2. That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Grant Agreement on behalf of the City of Paris and to execute and deliver any other necessary applications, communications, instruments and docu- ments necessary for the completion of said project.
