RFSOLUTION NO. 151E <br />Wf-IEREAS, Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 139, requires <br />fire control equipment on all airports serviced by air carrier; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, Cox Field, Paris, Texas, is served by Frontier <br />Ai.rlines, Inc., an air carrier; and, <br />WHEREAS, Cox Field is not equipped with f ire control equip- <br />ment as it should be; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Federal-Aid Airport Program malces available <br />assistance grants for the purpose of purchasing fire rescue <br />equipment; NOW, THEZEFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the City of Paris provide fire control equip- <br />ment as required by Federal Aviation Regulations, <br />Part 139, for Cox Field, Paris, Texas. <br />2. That the City of Paris process a grant application <br />under the Federal-Aid Airport Program administered <br />by the Federal Aviation Administration to assist in <br />the payment of the required fire rescue equipment. <br />3. That Alford M. Stewart, Airport Manager, Cox Field, <br />Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby appointed project <br />dir ector. <br />4. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance, be, and he <br />is hereby appointed financial officer of said project. <br />5. That H. C. Greene, Acting City Manager, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver, <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, the necessary appli- <br />cations, communications, instruments and documents <br />necessary for the completion of said project. <br />Passed and adopted this 26th day of October, 1972. <br />ATTEST j <br />H.
