RESOLUTION NO. 1501 , <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of Paris <br />that certain properties on which the school buildings being <br />operated by the Paris Independent School District are located or <br />were heretofore located were never conveyed from the City of <br />Paris to the Paris Independent School District at the time that <br />the control of these properties passed to the Paris Independent <br />School District and two of such properties being those proper- <br />ties hereinafter described and that title to said property has <br />been and should be vested in Paris Independent School District; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That James W. Farris, Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized, in behalf of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />to execute deed conveying to the Paris Independent School <br />District that certain property described as .follows: <br />FIRST TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of the <br />City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a <br />part of the Asa Jarman Survey, and being a tract of land <br />known as the Rosa Pearson School lot. <br />BDGINNING at a stake for corner at the Northeast <br />corner of said tract of land. <br />THENCE West along the South Bounda,ry line of Bonham <br />Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for corner at <br />the Northwest corner of said tract of 1and; <br />THENCE South a distance of 292 feet to a stake for <br />corner at the Southwest corner of said tract of land; <br />THENCE East along the North Boundary line of <br />Kaufman Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for <br />corner at the Southeast corner of said tract of land; <br />THENC E North along the West Boundary line of 19th <br />S. W. a distance of 292 feet to the place of beginning, <br />and containing 1.53 acres of land. <br />SDCOND TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of <br />the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, <br />a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, and being the <br />Graham School lot now owned by the Paris Independent <br />School District. <br />BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the Southwest <br />corner of said tract of land; <br />THENCE North along the East Boundary line of 7th <br />N. W., a distance of 471 feet to a stake at the <br />Northwest corner of said tract of land; <br />THENC E South 89 Deg. East a distance of 250 f eet <br />to a stake at the Northeast corner of said tract of <br />land; <br />THENCE South 3 Deg. 11 Min. West along the West <br />Boundary line of 6th N. W. a distance of 498 feet to <br />a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of said <br />tract of land; <br />THENCE North 82 Deg. 15 Min. West along the North <br />Boundary line of Graham Street a distance of 225 feet <br />to the place of beginning. <br />
