Section 2. That Article II of Chapter 19, Section 19-16 of the Code of Ordinances, City of <br />Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Junked Vehicles; Definitions," be, and the same is hereby, as of the <br />effective date of this ordinance, amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"ARTICLE II. JUNKED VEHICLES <br /> <br />"Sec. 19-16. Definitions. <br /> "Antique Vehicle. <br /> <br /> "dunked Vehicle. <br /> "(a) <br /> <br />"(b) <br /> <br />A passenger car or truck that is at least 25 years old. <br /> <br />"(1) <br />"(2) <br /> <br />is <br /> <br /> A vehicle that is self-propelled and: <br /> <br />does not have lawfully attached to it: <br /> an unexpired license plate; or <br /> a valid motor vehicle inspection certificate; and <br /> <br />(1) wrecked, dismantled or partially dismantled, or discarded; or <br /> <br />(2) is inoperable and has remained inoperable for more than: <br /> <br />"(a) seventy-two (72) consecutive hours, if the vehicle is on <br />public property; or <br /> <br />"(b) thirty (30) consecutive days, if the vehicle is on private <br />property. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of <br />Paris that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this ordinance are severable <br />and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this ordinance shall be declared <br />unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such <br />unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or <br />sections of this ordinance, and such remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
