RESOLUTION N0. 1497 . <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, City of Paris, did heretofore in <br />City of Paris Resolution No. 1449 authorize the leasing qf the Sam <br />Bell Maxey property to the Lamar County Historical Society, Inc.; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, City of Paris, did heretofore in <br />City of Paris Resolution No. 1450 authorize the application for Federal <br />funds to restore and improve, for public use and benefit, the Maxey <br />Museum at an estimated cost of $55,200.00, as approved in City of Paris <br />Resolution No. 1476; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />requires, in approving the City of Paris application for funds, certain <br />amendments to the rental contract between the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, and the Lamar County Historical 5ociety, Inc., covering the Sam <br />Bell Maxey property dated November 11, 1971, NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W.
