R ESOLUTION NO. 1483 <br />A RFSOLUTION ORDERING A SPFCIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE <br />SECOND TUESDAY IN JUNE, 19721 SAME BEING THE 13TH DAY OF JUNE, <br />1972, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 O'CLOCK A. M. AND 7:00 O'CLOCK <br />P. M., BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TFXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING LVHETHII2 AN ORDINA.~CE RE- <br />PEALING SECTION 29-25 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, <br />AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE NULL AND VOID AND OF NO EFFDCT, <br />SHALL BE PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF PARIS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />Section 1. That a special election be held by the quali- <br />fied voters of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the second <br />Ta.esday in June, 1972, same bein g the 13th day of June, 1972, <br />between the hours of 8:00 o'clock A. M. axld 7:00 o'clock P. M., <br />for the purpose of determining whether an ordinance repealing <br />Section 29-25 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Paris, and <br />declaring the same to be null and void and of no effect, shall <br />be passed and adopted by the City of Paris, as provided in <br />Sections 100, 102, 103, 105, 106, 107 and 108 of Article X of <br />the Charter of the City of Paris, adopted on November 2, 1948. <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election officials <br />of such election shall be as follows: <br />Ward One (1): <br />Polling Place: Central Fire Station <br />Officials: Mr. W. J. Johnson , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. R. H. Lower , Judge <br />Ward Tnro (2): <br />Polling Place: Grand Hotel Lobby <br />Officials: Mrs. Hugh Collins , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. Elizabeth Tompkins , Judge <br />Ward Three (3): <br />Polling Place: Lamar County Court House <br />Caunty Court Room <br />Officials: Mrs. Margaret Biard , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. Frank Shaeffer , Judge <br />Ward Four (4): <br />Polling Place: Paris High School Gymnasium <br />Off icials: Mrs. H. L. Hollis , Presiding Judge <br />Mrc_ Sam Ausmus , Judge <br />
