RESGLUTION NO. 1443 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received a request from <br />Mr. James Barnard for an easement of right of way to property <br />he wishes to purchase through the Texas Veterans Land Board; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, Texas Veterans Land Board regulations require <br />access to a public road for any property being purchased <br />through it; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Barnard requests the following 50 foot <br />easement across City of Paris property: <br />All that certain 6,500 square feet or 0.149 acre <br />tract or parcel of land situated about 3.5 miles <br />North West from Paris, Lamar County, Texas, being a <br />part of the Richard Rattan Survey, Abstract No. 790, <br />said tract being 50 feet wide and an average of 130 <br />feet long, to be used as an access road to the T. C. <br />Penn property, more particularly described as <br />follows, to-wit: <br />BEGINNING at a stake for a corner; said point <br />being 76.7 feet South of the N/E corner of the <br />A. Mcintuff Survey; said corner also being the S/E <br />corner of the I. Ruble Survey, and being in the <br />W/B/L of the Richard Rattan Survey; <br />THENCE South 45 degrees East, 155 feet to a <br />stake for a corner; <br />THENC E South 45 degrees West, 50 feet to a stake <br />for a corner ; <br />THENCE North 45 degrees West, 105 feet to a <br />stake for a corner; <br />THIIVCE North 70.7 feet to the place of beginning, <br />containing 6,500 Sq. Ft. or 0.149 acres of land. <br />Being described in accordance with a survey made <br />on the ground by A. C. Fryar, Registered Public <br />Surveyor, No. 549, on the 13th day of September, 1971. <br />AND) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is <br />in favor of the Veterans Land Board Program and wishes to co- <br />operate in any reasonable manner with veteran purchasers; NOW, <br />THEREFOR E, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS~ <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W. <br />Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a right of <br />way easement,describing the above tract or parcel of land,to <br />the Veterans Land Board of the State of Texas or the grantee <br />designated by the Veterans Land Board of the State of Texas; <br />consideration for said conveyance to be $10.00 and other good <br />and valuable consideration. <br />
