RFSOLUTION NO. 1426 <br />WHEREAS, Elmer Hadaway, of the City of Paris, has leased <br />property adjacent to the West Side of the Public Parking Area <br />provided at Cox Field, said area containing 1,000 square feet, <br />and has placed thereon an aluminum building or trailer house, <br />which has been used as an office and classroom in connection <br />with his conduct of an aviation flight training school, which <br />lease terminates May 31, 1971; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris wishes to <br />continue to encourage said flight training school, which is <br />conducted in conjunction with Paris Junior College at Cox <br />Field,because it is an asset to the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, Elmer Hadaway has conducted his busin ess and has <br />maintained the premises in a satisfactory manner during the <br />term of the lease expiring May 31, 1971, and, therefore, the <br />City of Paris is axnenable to enter into a new lease for a term <br />of five (5) years; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W. <br />Farris, be, and he is hereby authcrized to execute a lease <br />agreement with Elmer Hadaway, in the form approved, providing <br />for a lease of five (5) years, beginning June l, 1971 and ter- <br />minating May 31, 1976, providing for termination by either <br />party to said lease upon ninety d.a.ys notice and providing for <br />$15.00 per month rental, which includes water and sewer to be <br />furnished by the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 24th day of May, 1971. <br />W.
