RFSGLUTION NO. 1416 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in <br />favor of and supports the annual "Operation Sparkle", wherein <br />the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Paris and interested <br />groups make a concerted effort to improve the appearance of <br />our fair City; axid, <br />LJHER EAS, this year, as in the immediate past year, an <br />outstanding contribution was znade by the 952nd Eazgineering <br />Company (Light Equipment), commanded by Captain Jimmy M. King; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the officers and men of the 952nd Engineering <br />Company (Light Equipment) made 111 requested pick up stops for <br />the purpose of collecting large trash items and delivered 43 <br />truck loads to the City of Paris Sanitary Land Fill, utilizing <br />five 5 ton dump trucks, one wrecker truck and one front-end <br />loader; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pa.ris is well <br />aware of an d wishes to publicly recognize the public welfare <br />contributions of its citizen soldiers; NOW, THER EFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That the o.fficers and men of the 952nd IIzgineering <br />Company (Light Equipment) are hereby commended for an outstand- <br />ing contribution to "Operation Sparkle" performed on 17 and 18 <br />April, 1971. <br />Passed and adopted this 19th day of April, 1971. <br />- d400 <br />OA W.
