R FSOLUT ION NO. 1414 <br />WHEREAS, the Honorable B. M. Felty has just completed a <br />service of four years on the City Council of the City of Paris <br />and has just finished serving as Mayor of the City of Paris <br />for a period of sixteen months; and, <br />WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Felty served as such <br />Councilman and such Mayor, he gave of his services for the <br />best inter ests of the City of Paris, whether on minor or con- <br />troversial matters; and, <br />WHEREAS, during the sixteen months he served the City of <br />Paris as Mayor, he conducted meetings of the City Council with <br />dignity, directness, honesty and fairness to all, and gave un- <br />selfishly of his time in investigation and disposition of <br />whatever matters that came before the City Council; and, <br />WHFREAS, the City <br />cern of B. M. Felty for <br />and his devotion to the <br />devotion was constantly <br />ship during his term as <br />Texas; and, <br />Council is aware of the sincere con- <br />the people of Paris and Lamar County <br />betterment of the City of Paris, which <br />expressed by his outstanding leader- <br />Mayor of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of P,aris is aware <br />of its inaptness in expressing in words the keen respect and <br />admiration of all of the members of the City Council for B. M. <br />Felty; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That we here and now express to B. M. Felty our <br />full and complete appreciation for his years of service on the <br />City Council and for his sixteen months of service as Mayor of <br />the City of Paris, and we do here and now extend to him our <br />best wishes for his future welfare and for his continued in- <br />terest in the future of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day qf April, 1971. <br />fF <br />JarnXs W.
