RESOLUTION NO. 1409 . <br />WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City <br />Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, that Tracts 1 and <br />2, hereinafter described, belonging to J. L. Jopling, were at <br />his request, by Ordinance No. 1969, passed July 13, 1970, <br />changed from an Agricultural District (A) to a Planned <br />Development District (PD), Community Unit Development, in the <br />case of Tract 1, and Planned Development District (PD), <br />Shopping Center, in the case of Tract 2; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that when <br />property re-zoned for the purpose of development to some zon- <br />ing other than that of the adjacent property, that after a <br />reasonable period of time without the proposed development <br />occurring, that said property should be back zoned to the <br />classification it previously had; and, <br />WHEREAS, the property herein being consid ered, is de- <br />scribed in two tracts, as follows: <br />TRACT 1: Situated partly in the corporate limits <br />of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of <br />Texas, a part of the Joseph Leach Survey, an d being a <br />part of a 25.68 acre tract of land conveyed to Julian <br />L. Jopling by deed recorded in Vol. 290, Page 581, <br />also being a part of a 21.8 acre tract of lan d con- <br />veyed Julian L. Jopling by deed recorded in Vol. 309, <br />Page 11 of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas. <br />Seginning at a stake for a corner in the North <br />Boundary Line of said 25.68 acre tract of lan d at the <br />East Boundary Line of Loop 286; <br />Thence South 88 Deg. 35 Min. East a distance of <br />767 ft. to a post at the Northeast corner of said <br />25.68 acre tract of land; <br />Thence South 1 Deg. 08 Min. West at 925 ft., being <br />the Northeast corner of said 21.8 acre tract of land, <br />continuing on a distance of 189 ft. a stake for a <br />corner; <br />Thence North 88 Deg. 35 Min. West 396 ft. a stake <br />in the East Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286; <br />Thence North along the East Boundary Line of Loop <br />Highway 286 as follows: North 19 Deg. 27 Min. West <br />181 ft., North 17 Deg. 47 Min. West 500 ft., North 16 <br />Deg. 07 Min. West a distance of 500 ft. to the place <br />of beginning and containing 15.3 acres more or less. <br />Being a Part of Lot 5, City Block 313. <br />TRACT 2: Situated partly in the corporate limits <br />of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of <br />
