Section 3. The Presiding Judge of the respective voting <br />boxes shall designate and appoint such additional, competent <br />and qualified clerks for sxch respective polling places and <br />voting boxes as may be required, if any, for the efficient <br />conduct of said election. <br />Section 4. Such election shall be held in accordance <br />with the laws of the State of Texas governing general and <br />municipal elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, <br />and with the provisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of <br />the City of Par is. <br />Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris is <br />hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed <br />Notice of Election pursuant to this order for election, signed <br />by the Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling <br />places designated above, which said notice of election shall <br />by him be posted not less than thirty (30) days prior to said <br />election; further, a properly executed copy of such Notice of <br />Election shall be published one time in the Paris News, the <br />official newspaper of the City of Paris and a newspaper of <br />general circulation in said City, w hich said notice shall be <br />published not less than twenty (20) days before said election. <br />Section 6. The pay of the judges and clerks of said <br />election is hereby authori2ed and established as follows: <br />$15.00 per day for each judge and clerk; the election judge <br />who delivers the returns of said election immediately after <br />the votes have been counted to the proper office shall be <br />paid an additional sum of $5.00 for that service, provided <br />also, he shall make xeturn of all election supplies not used <br />when he makes returns of such election. <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Paris in regular meeting at the City Hall of said City this <br />8th day of February, 1971. <br />~ <br />B.
