RESOLUTION NO. 1358 <br />Wf-IEREAS 9 during the fall of 1967 and the fall of 1968 the <br />City of Paris became aware of a heavy concentration of black- <br />birds on a tract of approximately twenty acres, between 15th <br />Street, S. W. and 19th Street, S. W., adjacent to the South <br />Boundary Line of West Sherman Street; and, <br />GVHFREAS, said blackbirds deposited large quantities of <br />manure, carrion, filth and other impure or unwholesome matter <br />in said wooded area, which constituted a dangerous health ha- <br />zard; and, <br />WHER EAS, on the 9th day of April, 1969, the City of Paris <br />requested the 952nd Engineering Company for assistance in erad- <br />icating this dangerous health hazard, and said Engineering <br />Company, commanded by Captain Jimmy reov gngathe undergr Wth d <br />successfully complete the projec <br />and small trees from~abdactwenty kbirdsaandss lved dispersed <br />concentratzon o <br />lems; NOW, THF.REFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That we here and now express the appreciation and <br />gratitude of the City of Paris to the 952nd Engineering Company <br />for its ready and willing response to a request for assistance <br />by the City of PariSh1andrdoucommend the officers1and men of <br />dangerous health hazard, <br />the 952nd Engineering Company for a job well done. <br />Passed and adopted this 23rd day of February, 1970. <br />/ ~ <br />. <br />B.
