RFSOLUTION NO. 1357 , <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris owns a certain tract of land <br />within the corporate limits of Paris, La.mar County, Texas, being <br />Lot 7 in City Block 63, which fronts 50 feet on the South Side <br />of Tudor Street, and is approximately 62 feet deep; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received no revenue from <br />said property since it has owned the same nor does the City of <br />Paris have any use for said property; and, <br />tnTHEREAS, the City of Paris did, by written notice pub- <br />lished in the Paris News on the 20th and 21st days of January, <br />1970, notify the public that it would receive sealed bids for <br />the sale of said tract of land, at the Council Room, in the <br />City Ha.ll, in the City of Paris, Texas, at 7:00 o'clock P. M., <br />on the 9th day of February, 1970; and, <br />WHIIZEAS, the City Council did receive sealed bids at said <br />time, and after opening the same found that Robert H. McDougal <br />bid the sum of $650.00 cash for said tract of land, which bid <br />was the highest and best bid made for the purchase of said pro- <br />perty; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PA.RIS, TEXAS, That said bid be declared the highest and best <br />bid, and that the property be sold to Robert H. McDougal, <br />and that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, B. M. <br />Felty, be authorized and directed to execute a warranty deed <br />to Robert H. McDougal, and to receive therefor the <br />sum of $650.00 upon the delivery of said deed. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of February, 1970. <br />14 <br />~ • •--Y <br />B. M.
