RESOLUTION NO. 1355 A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN E,LECTION TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST TUESDAY IN APRIL, 1970, SAME BEING THE 7TH DAY OF APRI:L, 19702 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 O'CLOCK A. M. AND 7:00 O'CLOCK P. M.1 BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELDCTING THE FOLLOWING COUNCILMEIV TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YFARS. BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first Tuesday in April, 1970, same being the 7th d.ay of April, 1970, between the hours of 8:00 o'clock A. M. and 7:00 oTclock P. M., for the purpose of electing four (4) members of the City Council of the City of Paris, as follows: One Councilman From Ward One (1) One Councilman From Ward Two (2) One Councilman From Ward Three (3) One Councilman From Ward Four (4) as provided in Section 16 o.f Article III of the Charter of the City of Paris, adopted on November 2, 1948, and in accordance with Article IX of the Charter of the City of Paris, adopted November 21 19481? such Councilmen to serve for the ensuing two years. Section 2. That the polling places and election officials of such election shall be as follows: Ward One (1): Polling Place: Central Fire Station Officials: Mr. W. J. Johnson , Presiding Judge Mrs. R. H. Lawer , Judge Ward Two (2 ) ; Polling Place: Grand Hotel Lobby Officials: Mrs. Hugh Collins , Presiding Judge Mrs. Elizabeth Tompkins , Judge Ward Three 3 ; Polling Place: Lamar County Courthouse Basement Off icials: Mrs. W. S. Biard , Presiding Judge Mrs. Fr ed Shaeffer , Judge Ward Four (4): Polling Place: Paris High School Gymnasium Officials: Mrs. H. L. Hollis , Presiding Judge Mrs. Sam Ausmus , Judge
