RESOLUTION NO. 1349 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, deems it advisable to establish an Animal Advisory Board <br />to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council, to consist <br />of the President of The La.mar County Humane Association, the <br />Chairman of the Board of The Lamar County Humane Association, a <br />practicing veterinarian, a livestock commission merchant and <br />three additional members, all of which must either reside within <br />or do business within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, <br />for the following terms : <br />CLASSIFICATION <br />President of The Lamar County <br />Humane Association <br />Chairman of the Board of The <br />Lamar County Humane <br />Association <br />Veterinarian <br />Livestock Commission Merchant <br />Three Members <br />TERM <br />During Tenure of Office <br />During Tenure of Office <br />Until Successor Appointed <br />Until Successor Appointed <br />Two Years <br />AND, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris? R. A. <br />Kennedy, has recommended to the City Council the appointment of <br />the following persons to fill the classifications established: <br />President of The Lamar County <br />Humane Association - Audrey Melvin <br />Chairman of the Board of The <br />Lamar County Hu.mane <br />Association - Ed Bretz <br />Veterinarian - Dr. D. A. Ensey, Jr. <br />Livestock Commission Merchant- Clyde L. Darnell <br />Member - Joyce Mask <br />Member - Don Blackburn <br />Member - Duran Davis <br />NOW, THER EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, That the recommendations of the <br />Mayor that the following be appointed to serve as members of <br />the Animal Advisory Board, for the terms set out in connection <br />with their names, as follows: Audrey Melvin, beginning January 1, <br />1970 during her tenure as President of The Lamar County Humane <br />Association; Ed Bretz, beginning January 1, 1970 during his tenure <br />as Chairman of the Board of The Lamar County Humane Association; Dr. <br />D. A. Ensey, Jr. , beginning January 1, 1970 until successor <br />appointed; Clyde L. Darnell, beginning January 1, 1970 until <br />successor appointed; Joyce Mask, beginning January 1, 1970 and <br />ending December 31, 1971; Don Blackburn, beginning January 1, 1970 <br />and ending December 31, 1971; and Dur an Davis, beginning <br />January l, 1970 and ending December 31,1971,are by the City <br />Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />
