<br />RESOLUTION NO.
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO THE
<br />CONTRACT WITH STEPHENS & SONS CONCRETE FOR THE LONG
<br />AVENUE WATER, SEWER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 1 lth day of
<br />December, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-182, award the contract for "Long Avenue Water,
<br />Sewer, and Street Improvement Project" to Stephens & Sons Concrete; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Acting City Engineer, Frank Davis, acting as project engineer,
<br />recommends the amendment of the contract for said project to reflect a square foot change in
<br />Item #3 of the paving and drainage portion of the unit price schedule, providing for a net
<br />increase of $1,009.97 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $56,403.97; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
<br />in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the form of Change OrderNo. One to the Contract with Stephens & Sons
<br />Concrete for the "Long Avenue Water, Sewer, and Street Improvement Project," attached hereto
<br />as Exhibit A, to reflect a square foot change in Item #3 of the paving and drainage portion of the
<br />unit price schedule, and providing for a net increase of $1,009.97 in the contract price, for a total
<br />contract price of $56,403.97, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
<br />behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in
<br />the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
