RFSOLUTION NO. 1338
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris,Paris, Texas, did at its
<br />regular Council Meeting on October 13, 1969, receive bids for
<br />a Crawler Type Tractor pozer, and the best bid was made by
<br />George P. Bane Company of Tyler, Texas, in the amount of
<br />$37,773.00-for an Al1is-Chalmers Tractor HD-16, and the City
<br />of Paris did elect to purchase optional equipment, which in-
<br />cluded crank case guard, transmission guard and track roller
<br />guard, the cost of which totalled $725.00, making a total pur-
<br />chase price with optional equipment of $38,498.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the terms of such purchase are a note drawn by
<br />the City of Paris, payable to George P. Bane Company, Tyler,
<br />Texas, in the amount of $38,498.00, bearing interest at the
<br />rate of 6% per annum, such note due and payable on or before
<br />July 1, 1970; and,
<br />WHERFAS, it is to the best interest of the City of Paris
<br />that said purchase be finalized and delivery taken immediately;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH E CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, That the City Manager, C. L. Walker, be, and he
<br />is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Paris
<br />a note payable to George P. Bane Company, Tyler, Texas, in the
<br />amount of $38,498.00, bearing interest at the rate of 6% per
<br />annum, payable on or before July 1, 1970.
