RESOLUTION NO. 1336 . <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has for some time been using <br />property owned by the John Kraft Sesame Corporation as an access <br />route to its Ground Storage Tank in the vicinity of the John <br />Kraft Sesame Plant, said route being used in lieu of a City <br />owned access, because the same is direct and considerably shorter; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, John Kraft Sesame Corporation is agreeable to the <br />exchange of the property being used by the City as an access <br />route for the property owned, but not used by the City, which <br />property would be of no use to the City upon the acquisition of <br />the access route presently being used; and, <br />W'HEREAS, the City owned tract is only 50 feet in width and <br />would have no value to any property owner other than an adjoin- <br />ing property owner, and there are only two adjoining property <br />owners, that being John Kraft Sesame Corporation and St. Louis- <br />San Francisco Railway Company, whose right of way is adjacent to <br />the West Boundary Line of a portion of the property; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is to <br />the advantage and best interest of the City of Paris to exchange <br />the City's 0.43 acre tract, being a part of the Redding Russell <br />Survey and being a part of a 1.399 acre tract of land conveyed <br />the City of Paris by deed recorded in Vol. 331, Page 425, Deed <br />Records, Lamar County, Texas, for the John Kraft Sesame <br />Corporation's 0.23 acre tract, which is a part of the Redding <br />Russell Survey and a part of a 1.23 acre tract of land conveyed <br />the John Kraft Sesame Corporation by deed recorded in Vol. 460, <br />Page 468, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That R. A. Kennedy, Mayor of the City of Paris, <br />be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to, upon receipt of <br />a generalwarranty deed from John Kraft Sesame Corporation to the <br />0.23 acre tract heretofore described, execute and deliver a <br />general warranty deed to John Kraft Sesame Corporation conveying <br />the 0.43 acre tract heretofore described. <br />Passed and adopted this 13th day of October, 1969. <br />oooo;:~~ <br />~~~r <br />RKenne ATTFST : <br />~ <br />H.
