1331 RES AN ELECTION WAS HELD BY QUALIFIED VOTERS OF COP ON 23RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1969

RFSOLUTION NO. 1331 WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 23rd day of September, 1969, for the purpose of voting for or against Ordinance No. 1913, being known as Animal Control Ordinance, originally passed on the 14th day of July, 1969, and then brought to this referendum in accordance with the Charter of the City of Paris, to-wit: FOR or AGAINST ORDINANC E NO. 1913 WHERFAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was conducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places, that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election, made by the duly appointed and designated election officials of and for the four (4) respective voting boxes, have been made to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Paris, as required by law, which returns, after due and deliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following results of said election, to-wit: (1) IN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 915 VOTFS WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: FOR THE ORDINANCE: 483 Votes; AGAINST THE ORDINANCE: 432 Votes. (2) IN WARD TWO (2) A TOTAL OF 279 VOTFS WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: FOR THE ORDINANCE: 148 Votes; AGAINST THE ORDINANC E: 131 Votes. (3) IN WARD THREE (3) A TOTAL OF 280 VOTFS WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: FOR THE ORDINANCE: 123 Votes; AGAINST THE ORDINANCE: 157 Votes. (4) IN WARD FOUR (4) A TOTAL OF 528 VOTFS WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: FOR THE ORDINANCE: 272 Votes; AGAINST THE ORDINANC E: 256 Votes. NOW, THEREFORE, from the above and foregoing canvass of the returns of the votes in the four (4) respective voting boxes in such election, it is declared and determined that Ordinance No. 1913, Animal Control Ordinance, is approved, and the same shall be published in accordance with the Charter of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
