CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in reguiar session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Discuss and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on July 9, 2012 (corrected). 6. Receive and discuss reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Historic Preservation Commission (6-25-2012) b. PEDC (7-23-2012 & 7-10-2012) c. Traffic Commission (7-3-2012) d. Building & Standards (7-30-2012) e. Main Street Advisory Board (7-27-2012) 7. Discuss July monthly financial report. 8. Discuss July drainage ditch maintenance report. 9. Discuss dilapidated structure report. - 10. Discuss possible future amendments to the City of Paris Charter. Regular Agenda 11. Discuss, public hearing and act on a Resolution approving and authorizing a Tax Abatement Agreement with Campbell Soup. 12. Discussion on the 2012-2013 Budget for the City of Paris.
