1259 RES ORDERING ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FIRST TUESDAY IN APRIL 1968

Section 3, The Fresiding Judge of the respective voting boxes shall designate and appoint such additional, competent and qualified clerks for such respective polling places and voting boxes as may be required, if any, for the efficient condutt of said election. Section 4. Such election shall be held in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas governing general and municipal elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, and with the provisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris. Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris is hereby directedand instructed to post a properly executed Notice of Elec«» tion pursuant to this order for election, signed by the Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling places designated above, which said notices of election shall by him be posted not less than thirty (30) days prior to said election; further, a prnperly exe- cuted copy of such Notice of Ele ction shall be published one time in the Paris News, the official newspaper of the City of P'aris and a newspaper of general circulation in said City, which notice shall be published not less than twenty (20) days before said election. Section 6. The pay of the judges and clerks of said election is hereby authorized and established as follows: $12,50 per day for each judge and clerk; the election judge who delivers the re- turns of the said election immediately after the votes have been counted to the proper office shall be paid an additional sum of $5.00 for that service, provided also, he shall make return of all election supplies not used when he makes returns of such election.
