1253 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDS

RESOLUTION NO. 1253 WHEKEAS, the City Council has heretofor e advertised for bids to erect a steel airport hangar at Cox Field and to furnish certain materials and labor; and, WHEREAS, the City Council did, at 7:00 o'clock P. M,, in the City Council Room, at the City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas, on the 13th day of November, A, D., 1967, receive bids for such erection and materials and labor; and, WHEREAS, the firm of Harrison & Tnialker Construction Company, of the City of Paris, Texas, bid the sum of $16,361.00 for such construction and labor and materials, and which sum was the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a contract with Harrison & Walker Construction Company for such construction and material, in the amount of $16,361.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That H. C. Kennemer, City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Harrison & Walker Construction Company for the constructing of said hangar and fur- nishing of the labor and materials as described in the specifica- tions, and to agree to pay therefor the sum of $16,361,00 to said construction company. That sad payment shall be evidenced by a promissory note of the City of Paris, payable to Harrison & Walker Construction Company, to be transferred to The I:aiberty National Bank in Paris, and for which they will pay to Harrison & Walker Construction Company the sum of $16,361.00 for such constructirn, labor, and materials. That the City shall further agree to pay The I:iberty National Bank in Paris the amount of such note out of the 1968.-1969 Budget of the City of Paris.
