1245 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDS

RESOLUTION NO, 1245 WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore advertised for bids for the furnishing of material and erection of a 100 x 100 foot steel building at Cox Field, to be used as a steel maintenance hangar; and, WHEREAS, the City Council did, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the City Council Room, in the City Hall, in Paris, L.amar County, Texas, on October 9, A. D,, 1967, receive bids for such material and con» struction; and, WHEREAS, the Metal Structures Corporation of Dallas was the low bidder, in the amount of $18,825,00, which bid was the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a written contract with the Metal Structures Corporation; NOW2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That H. C. Kennemer, City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute with the Metal Structures Corporation, a con- tract for the furnishing of such material and construction, and agree to pay therefor the sum of $18,825.00. That said payment shall be evidenced by a promissory note of the City of Paris, payable to Metal Structures Corporation, and which note, upon acceptance by the City of Paris of the building and material, will be by Metal Structures Corporation transferred to The Liberty National Bank in Paris, and for which they will receive from said Bank the sum of $18,825.00 for such material and construction. That the City shall further agree to pay The Liberty National Bank in Paris the amount of such note out of the 1968-1969 Budget of the City of Paris. Passed and adopted this 9th day of October, A.
