1219 RES ORDERING ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FIRST TUESDAY IN APRIL 1967

Section 3. The Presiding Judge of the respective voting boxes shall designate and appoint such additional, competent and qualified clerks for such respective polling places and voting boxes as may be required, if any, for the efficient con- duct of said election. Section 4. Such election shall be held in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas governing general and municipal elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, and with the }rovisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris. Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris is hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed Notice of Election pursuant to this order for election9 signed by the Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling places designated above, which said notices of election shall by him be posted not less than thirty (30) days prior to said election; further, a properly executed copy of such Notice of Election shall be published one time in the Paris News, the official newspaper of the City of Paris and a newspaper of general circula- tion in said City, which notice shall be published not less than twenty (20) days before said election. Section 6. The pay of the judges and clerks of said election is hereby authorized and establishedas follows: $10. 00 per day for each judge and clerk; the election judge who delivers the returns of the said election immediately after the votes have been counted to the proper office shall, be paid an additional sum of $2. 00 for that service, provided also, he sha11 make return of alX election supplies not used when he makes returns of such election.
