Sheet Metal FlashingtTrim: <br /> <br /> 1. Copper: 20 oz., except furnish 24 oz for valley flashing and roof caps. <br /> <br /> B. Gutters and Downspouts: <br /> <br /> 1. Copper: 20 oz. <br /> <br /> C. Miscellaneous Materials and Accessories: <br /> <br /> 1. Fasteners: Same metal as flashing/sheet metal. <br /> <br /> 2. Bituminous Coating: FS TI-C-494 or SSPC - Paint 12, solvent type <br /> bituminous mastic, nominally free of sulfur, compounded for 15-mil dry <br /> film thickness per coat. <br /> <br /> 3. Mastic Sealant: Polyisobutylene; nonhardening, nonskinning, nondrying, <br /> nonmigrating sealant. <br /> <br /> 4. Elastomeric Sealant: one-component polysulfide or polyurethane sealant, <br /> complying with FS TT-S-0030, Class A, Type II. <br /> <br /> 5. Metal Accessories: Provide sheet metal clips, straps, anchoring devices and <br /> similar accessory units as required for installation of work, of same <br /> material as material being installed, noncorrosive, size and gauge required <br /> for performance. <br /> <br /> 6. 30 LB. felt Mansville or approved equal. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS, FLASHING AND SHEET METAL: <br /> <br /> A. General: Except as otherwise indicated, comply with manufacturers installation <br /> instructions and recommendations, and with SMACNA "Architectural Sheet <br /> Metal Manual". Anchor units of work securely in. place by methods indicated, <br /> pmvicling for thermal expansion of metal units; conceal fasteners where possible, <br /> and set units true to line end level as indicated. Install work with laps, joints and <br /> seams which will be permanently watertight and weatherproof. <br /> <br /> B. No soldering of sheet metal will be undertaken by installers while on or near the roof. <br /> Conduct soldering only in protected areas which pose no threat of fire to the building. <br /> No open flame shall be used anywhere other than in protected areas which pose no <br /> threat of fire to the building. <br /> <br /> C.
