Same as Mercer Plastics Company, Inc.'s "Tile Reducer No. 63"; <br /> or equal. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br /> <br /> A. Verify that subfloors to receive resilient flooring are smooth and meet minimum <br /> requirements established by flooring manufacturer. <br /> <br />B. Test for dryness using calcium or other approved method. <br />3.02 PREPARATION <br />A. Underlayment: <br /> <br /> 1. Apply according to approved manufacturer's directions wherever <br /> subfloor presents uneven surface and bring to true level surface. <br /> <br /> 2. For conditions in excess of one inch thickness, use cement topping with <br /> bonding agent as underlayment. <br /> <br /> B. Tile Layout: Center field or patterns on room or areas such that no border tile is <br /> less than one-half size of field tile. <br /> <br />3.03 /NSTALLATION <br />A. Follow approved manufacturer's directions. <br /> <br /> B. Lay true, level, and even with joints straight, imperceptible, and aligned exactly <br /> parallel to respective walls of building. Neatly trim material abutting other work <br /> to form true, dean joints. <br /> <br /> C. Thoroughly bond flooring and bases to sul~surfaces; no blisters will be acceptable. <br /> <br /> D. Install reducer strips wherever resilient flooring terminates with exposed edge. <br /> <br /> Section 09650 <br /> Page 3-4 <br /> <br /> <br />
