1212 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDS

RESOLUTION NQ. 1212 . WHEREAS, the City Council advertised for bids for the painting and repairing of the 500, 000 gallon elevated water tower on 5th Street, N.W., in the City of Paris, on November 7, 1966 at 7:00 o=clock P. M. , at a regu.lar meeting; and, WHEREA5, there were two bids submitted; one by the Water Tank Service Company of Dallas, Texas, and one by the 5entry Tank & Tower Corporation of Pittsburg, Kansas; and= WHEREAS, said bids were by the CityCouncil referred to the Director of Public Works for his evaluation and recommendation as to which was the lowest and best bid; and9 WHEREA5, by letter dated November 8, 1966, J. E. Albright, the Director of Public Works, has recommended that the bid of the Water Tank Service Company of Dallas, Texas, as submitted, was the lowest and best bid, and recommended its acceptance; NOW, THEREFOREA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Manager, H. G. Kennemer, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W ater Tank Service Company of Dallas, Texas, incorporating the terms and conditions of the specifications, which were received thereon, in said contract.
