WHEREAS, the City of Paris did9 on the 17th day of October9 19669 advertise the sale of 43 741 square feet of land9 described as foU.ows: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texass within the corporate limits of the City of Parisi and being a portion of the tract conveyed the City of Paris by the A. A. Lister Estate, by deed dated 5eptember 6, 1966s recorded in Book 448a Page 413, Lamar County Deed Recordss and described as foUows: BEGINNING at the NWC of said A.A. Lister Estate tract shown as Lot 39 Block 56, City of Paris Tax Map; THENCE East along the NBL of said Lot 3 a distance of 72.5 feet to the NEC of said Lot 3, same being the NWC of Lot 2. Block 56, formerly owned by Hubert C. Reaves; THENCE South along the EBL of said Lot 3 a distance of 50.4 feet to aniron pin in the North ROW line of the Pine Bluff to Graham Street opening; THENGE in a Southwesterly direction along the North ROW line of the Pine Bluff to Graham Street opening a distance of 77.8 feet to an iron pin; said iron pin being in the WBL of said Lot 3; THENCE North along the WBL of said Lot 3 a distance of 82. 1 feet to the place of beginning and containing 4! 741 square feet. and requested sealed bids on the part of any interested purchasers; ands WHEREASy Gene Rader and wife, Dorothy Raders bid the sum of $3, 116.889 which was the highest and best bid for said property9 and is a fair bid for said property; NOWs THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,, That said bid is declared to be the highest and best bid for the above de- scribed property9 and H. C. Kennemera City Managerp is hereby authorized to execute a good and sufficient deed to Gene Rader and wife, Dorothy Rader,, in consideration of the payment of $3, 116.88.
