A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF DEEDS OF ABANDONMENT TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS OF A FIFTEEN (15) FOOT ALLEY ABANDONED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2001- IN BLOCK I, WARREN ADDITION BEGINNING AT 17TH STREET N.E. WEST TO THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF CITY BLOCK 200 BETWEEN BONHAM STREET AND MAPLE AVENUE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is a fifteen (15) foot alley running east and west, BEGINNING at the west boundary line of 17th Street N.E. west to the east boundary line of City Block 200 located between Bonham Street (U.S. Hwy 82) and Maple Avenue; and, WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council by petition of the adjacent property owners that the alley is not desired by the property owners adjacent to said alley; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, by prior Ordinance No. 2001- adopted September 6, 2001, has authorized the City to abandoned the City's interest in the aforesaid alley; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City's interest in said abandoned alley be conveyed to the adjacent owners on either side of said alley; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, deeds of abandonment conveying to the adjacent owners on either side of said fifteen (15) foot alley, in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, the City's interest in the abandoned alley located between Bonham Street (U.S. Hwy 82) and Maple Avenue, beginning at the west boundary line of 17th Street N.E. west to the east boundary line of City Block 200, it appearing that the real and true owners of the hereinafter described lots are as follows:
