1205 RES COP IS ENGAGED IN ACQUIRING CERTAIN ROW

RESOLUTION NO. 1205 . WHEREAS, the City of Paris is engaged in acquiring certain right of way, to extend Pine Bluff Street, from North Main Street to Graham Street; a nd: WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been furnished with a plat by the Engineer, showing each of the property ownerships and numbering each tract to be acquired for right of way purposes; and9 WHEREAS, the City of Paris has acquired Tract No. 27 from A. F. Bryan and Tract No. 26 from Jack Armstrong and wifes Wilma Armstrong; ands WHEREASs the City of Paris, on each of said tracts, owns a portion thereof lying South of the proposed street right of way; and= WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Paris to acquire a portion of Tract No. 25 lying within said right of ways from the Weiler Investment Company; and, WHEREAS, each of the three tracts has been appraised onthe basis of 55~ per square foot9 and the City Council is of the opinion that it is to the advantage of the City of Paris to exchange with W eiler Investment Company that portion of the A. F. Bryan tract and Jack and Wilma Armstrong tract,, which lies 6outh of the street right of way, on the basis of 55~ per square foot9 and to receive in exchange therefor from 'Weiler Investment Company the amount necessary to be acquired for Tract No. 25., on the basis of 55~ per square foot; NOW, THEIEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That H.C. Kennemer, City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to exchange with W eiler Investment Company that portion of Tract No. 26 and Tract No. 279 lying South of the proposed extension right of way, for a portion of Tract No. 25s located within the right of way of said pro- posed extension, on the basis of 5 5~ per square foot on the above three tracts.
