1198 RES CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZED CERTAIN SEWER ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS

RESOLUTION NO. 1198 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has heretofore au- thorized certain sewer additions and improvements for the City of Paris, known as Project 851-8-669 F. M. No. 79 Sanitary Sewer Outfall; and, WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared for such work by the Public Works Department of the City of Paris, and proper notices have been had as required by the Charter and laws of the State of Texas; and, WHEREAS, sealed bids were received at 7:00 o=clock P,M., in the Council Room of the City Ha1X, in the City of Paris, on August 8, 1966, there being some four bids in number; and, WHEREAS, the bid of Elm Fork Construction Company, of Dallas9 Texas, which was in the amount of $20, 347. 85, was the lowest and best bid received at said time and place, and the City Council finds the same to be the lowest and best bid, in the event that same complies with the specifica- tions furnished by the Public Works Department; NOWp THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, ber and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the Elm Fork Construction Company9 of DalXas, Texas, provided its bid is approved by the Department of Public Works of the City of Paris, and agrees to pay said Elm Fork Construction Company the sum of $20, 347. 85 for the work to be done in accordance with the plans and specifications aforesaid.
